REVAL CAFÈ – A NICE MEAL WITH A COSY ATMOSPHERE

Cosy cafés have emerged in the centre of Tallinn recently, bearing the name Reval Café. There are eight of them in the capital, most of them in the Old Town or in its immediate neighbourhood.

Every Reval Café has its own menu. For example, the Müürivahe Street branch offers quite a wide range of Mediterranean dishes. Classic Caesar salad, with its delicious chicken and heavenly sauce and chanterelle mushroom pate with blue cheese are some of the biggest hits at this café. Also their grilled meats and pizza made in the stone oven are worth trying.

As the café opens seven days a week as early as at dawn, one can get a nice home-cooked breakfast at Reval. Porridge with strawberry jam and omelettes with various supplements can be ordered as early as 7.30 in the morning.

Reval’s coffee, which guarantees a true taste sensation, is worthy of particular attention. To be honest, I did not know that an ordinary coffee with cream could taste this good. This is a coffee house with a capital C. Anyone who wants to experiment with tastes can choose from a selection of eighteen coffees, coffee drinks and coffee cocktails.

Those who do not drink coffee can get their minds and bodies into shape with a wide range of leaf teas. And the Reval has quite a bit to offer with your coffee or tea – their cakes and pastries will even tempt those who usually do not care for sweet things. The oven-hot pastries are made right under the customer’s nose.

Reval Cafés are comfy places to have lunch on a weekday, have glass of wine and a cake with your friends in the evening or start your day with a tasty breakfast. The prices are reasonable and portions are stomach-filling.

Reval Cafés can be found in Tallinn at Müürivahe 14, Vene 1, Vana-Viru 14, Aia 3, Süda 1, Narva maantee 6, Hobujaama 5 (Coca-Cola Plaza) and Laki 11a.
